Disney is giving away 1-day, 1-theme park tickets. To get these free tickets to the magical kingdom of your choice, Walt Disney World or Disneyland, you only have to give a few hours of your time. With Disney’s program Give a Day Get a Day Give Away the company is encouraging folks of all ages to step up and volunteer.

Everyone can give a few hours of their time for a good cause. Especially if your reward is a trip to the Mouse House. Disney’s goal is to get one million volunteers to participate in the program. Would be volunteers simply go to the website Give a Day Get a Day Give Away.

Go to sign up and search then put in your zip code. There are many opportunities to meet every interest and community need. This writer and son are signed up for Frame the Shame. We will be taking photographs of things in our city that need to be changed or improved upon. You can work with animals, children, elderly in need or there are opportunities to start your own movement such as a food drive in your area.

Once you find the activity that suits you and your family or group simply follow the instructions listed to participate. You must be 18 to sign up but then you can add up to 8 younger children and other adults in your family or group.

After you have worked your day of giving the head of your activity will send verification to Disney of your participation. Then all you have to do is print out your voucher when it comes in the email.

We’re looking forward to our volunteer day then riding Pirates of the Caribbean.

The free ticket for giving volunteer time is a terrific idea. Just as we're hearing about the Martin Luther King Day of Service efforts encouraging volunteerism we should be learning more about volunteer opportunities in our communities.

Not sure if it's me or the link above but it's not working for me.
