Free crafts for Baltimore kids at Lakeshore Learning Stores


Kids around Baltimore can make a free craft at Lakeshore Learning stores every Saturday. The crafts being made are geared  for children ages 3 and up and will take place from 11:00 -3:00, at every store.   Crafts being made in the next few Saturdays will highlight Valentine's Day and President's Day.

Free Crafts for kids in  February 2010

On Saturday, January 30, Baltimore kids can stop in to find beads, buttons, shells and more to create a fun decoration and a cool place to keep keys.  While working with these materials is lots of fun,  the children will also strengthen their fine motor skills. 

On Saturday, February 6,  Baltimore kids can take part in creating a be my valentine magnetic note holder.  Kids can use this festive heart  to store notes and other favorite valentines. 

On Saturday, February 13, Baltimore kids can help celebrate President's day with this patriotic craft by using a variety of materials to complete a future President's tie.  Kids will enjoy being able to wear their crazy, colorful creation to the next "official" event.

On Saturday, February 20, Baltimore children will be given a frame, puzzle pieces, glitter sticks, markers, and glue to make a puzzle me frame.   This vibrant  frame will be a fit for the perfect photo.

On Saturday, February 27, Baltimore kids can celebrate literacy by making a colorful bookmark.  This bookmark will be made with brightly colored rainbow paper that will keep  kids reading all year long.
