Free games for weekend fun

According to a Mar. 2 report in “All App News”, “The Simpsons:Tapped Out” has just received a new update. This freemium game from Electronic Arts, which is based on the long running animated series, now includes Ralph Wiggum and the Wiggum House. Plus, there are new decorations, new quests and new experiences.

This is a simulation game that will be loved by fans of the series. It begins with Homer playing a game on an iPad. He is so involved in the game that he doesn't hear the warnings and alarms sound that something is wrong at the nuclear power plant where he works. The plant explodes, destroying Springfield and starting this game. Your goal is to help Homer (who says that his is without blame for what happened) rebuild the town and find his family and Bart.

Also new to the App Store today is “F18 Carrier Landing Lite”, a really cool flight simulation app with fantastic graphics and you in a 3D cockpit! There are replays, different camera angles, various weather conditions and free flight mode so there's lots of fun here. What's more, each landing is scored and posted to Game Center so you can challenge your friends. Check the slide show!

Compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, this free apps are great fun for this weekend.
