Free condom dispensers have been placed in 11 Phily highschools! (Video)

Schools in Philadelphia have chosen to provide students with condoms as a solution to the high rate of sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy among their students. After this x-mas break, kids walked into school and noticed a big change. They are able to walk up to a condom dispenser and remove condoms at will. Although parents can sign papers to allow their children access to condoms, if the child gets the condoms; that is defined as a 'home' issue but the school will not stop the child from not following their parents wishes.

With 25% of all new HIV cases being found in teenagers, mayor strongly supports this initiative. Donald F. Schwartz, the deputy mayor for health and opportunity in Philadelphia says, "Its a pilot designed to address an epidemic of sexually transmitted disese in adolescents in Philadelphia."
