Mount Calvary Holy Evangelistic Church is hosting an inspiring evening of music. Gospel music lovers are invited to mark their calendars for Friday, April 25, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. EST for a high time of praise. Located at 2504 Naylor Road in Southeast, DC, Mount Calvary Holy Evangelistic Church (MCHEC) will be presenting “An Evening Of Pure Worship With Tia L. Singleton” on the last Friday evening in April.

Also ministering during this special night of music is Christian rapper Echelon Knoxx. The free concert is sponsored by the Music and Media Ministry of MCHEC, headed by Minister of Music Thomas Lee McKeithan, II. A free concert, doors will open at 6:45 p.m. More information about the musical event can be found at www.mchec.org or by calling 202.276.6437.

The featured artist of the evening is talented songstress Tia L. Singleton. With over 16 years’ experience as a professional in the music industry, she is known as one of the area’s premiere vocalists. Hailing from a family of singers, Singleton received her musical training under the tutelage of educators such as Wesley Boyd, William Hubbard, Raymond Reeder and Joyce Garrett. Sitting at the feet of these Gospel music mentors, doors of opportunity opened for Tia to sing with award-winning artists such as Yolanda Adams, Angela Winbush, Maurette Brown-Clark, Myron Butler, Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Micah Stampley, Patti Labelle and many others. Anointed to sing God’s praises and preparing to release her debut project, Singleton plans to be in rare form during MCHEC’s “An Evening Of Pure Worship”.

Opening up for Tia L. Singleton is Christian rapper Echelon Knoxx. Prior to giving his life to the Lord in 2013, many in the Nation’s Capital knew him as Sonny Knoxx, a skilled rapper recognized for his talents and rhyming skills in the hip hop game. Recently moving from the secular rap world to the sacred, Echelon Knoxx will be sharing his gifts and his testimony during “An Evening Of Pure Worship” on Friday, April 25.
