From time to time, local Baltimore area companies and non-profit organizations offer free paper shredding events, which are typically held in the Spring and Fall. These events are perfect for procrastinators, who can never seem to stay on top of their paper shredding pile.

If you live in Howard County, hold the date for the next free shredding event coming up in Ellicott City. The county is sponsoring the event and will accept your old documents and sensitive information on Saturday, October 12. Howard County residents will have the opportunity to get rid of their backlog of shredding at no cost.

The Howard County Community Shred Event will be at the Meadowbrook Park & Ride off of Route 100 in Ellicott City, from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Howard County residents can bring up to 3 bags or boxes of paper to be shredded on-site.

Please note that this is not an e-cycle event. Electronic equipment, batteries etc. will not be accepted.
