Free Comic Book Day is May 1st

Free Comic Book Day is an annual event, wherein comic books from many major publisher are distributed to local comic shops for free! WOO!

Now, you might be thinking, "Sure, I'll go to the shop and all the free comics will be something I don't care about." First, stop being so negative and second, you're wrong. Among last years treasures were Blackest Night #0 written by Geoff Johns and Avengers written by Brian Michael Bendis!

This year will see comics like Iron Man/Thor by Invincible Iron Man and upcoming Thor writer (also, as of April 27th, the father of a brand new baby girl. Congrats!) Matt Fraction. This book will be drawn by upcoming Avengers artist and comic book legend John Romita Jr. Not enough? Well how about War of the Supermen #0? This issue kicks off the May event of the same name and is done by super creative team James Robinson and Eddy Barrows!

Still not enough?! How about titles like Irredeemable, Green Hornet, The Tick, Shrek, Mouse Guard, Toy Story, G.I. Joe and Atomic Robo?!! That's not even the complete list!
