When die-hard New Yorkers try to justify their decision to live in one of the most expensive cities in the world, they often invoke the art and culture available to their children.
But, art and culture doesn't come cheap, either.
That's why the NY Frugal Family Examiner is always excited to share FREE, local art activities that help justify the exorbitant rents... and everything else.
On Saturday March 29, from 1 - 3 PM, families from all five boroughs (and outside NYC, too) are cordially invited to join the Chelsea community for a neighborhood Art Treasure Hunt for kids of all ages.
Boasting galleries, outdoor installations and the HighLine, Chelsea is a unique destination for finding art and learning more. Chelsea Art For Kids Day will host a treasure hunt to find out a bit more about the art in this unique neighborhood and pick up a little history in a fun way!
Interested families can pick up their treasure hunt materials at Porter Contemporary (548 West 28th Street, 3rd Floor; between 10th and 11th Avenues).
Return to Porter Contemporary with your results for a gift!
