Free apps for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch worth downloading now starts today with news that Apple iPad mini with Retina production is increasing to the point where supply is starting to catch up to demand, according to a Dec. 13 report in AppleInsider.

Shipping dates are now just one to three days after purchasing the new iPad mini at Apple Stores. Last month, customers wanting to purchase the new iPad mini had to wait five to ten days after purchase for it to be shipped.

Trending hot today again is “The Dead Town” (Reg. $3.99), also going free today. This action-packed app sports realistic 3D graphics and characters, ragdoll effects and chilling environments. Here you are a member of an elite military unit that must monitor a quarantined city infested with hordes of zombies.

“OSnap! Time Lapse & Stop Motion” (Reg. $2.99) is free in a big app deal today. This powerful photo app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is simple to operate and yet packed with features that control time-lapse and stop motion photo projects. Captures images up to 1080p and supports camera flash, front and back cameras, exposure, focus and more in one of those photo apps designed for both casual and serious photographers.

Another one of the apps running hot today too is “Call of Mini Zombies 2”, a cool co-op game where you team up with your friends to fight hordes of zombies and powerful bosses to crush a undead outbreak.
