As a working mother, when we leave our careers for the day, our real job is actually just about to begin. Extracurricular activities, homework, dinner, grocery shopping, new clothes and shoes for growing kids, organizing and paying bills, and getting dinner on the table. These are only a few of the basic tasks that many of us have to fulfill everyday. With the current boom in technology and the use of our smart and android phones, well, there's an app for that. Most apps provide free unlimited or basic service in order to help you keep your sanity while maintaining these duties. So before you update your Facebook status or send that Tweet, be sure to check your lifestyle apps.
Need to keep your bills in order, get reminders, and make sure they are paid on time? Our main monthly bills such as the rent or mortgage, electricity, car notes, and insurance seem to remain top priority as they usually fall on the same day every month, and some of us have them directly withdrawn from our bank account. There are times when some of those other bills slip our mind due to everything else we have to keep up with. Cell phones, credit cards, cable, internet, subscriptions, and so forth. How about the Manilla app which allows you to sync your account to your mobile phone? It provides you with phone and email reminders when a bill is coming near due, allows you to view the balance and date owed, a link to the company's full website, as well as a detailed version of the bill. It also allows you to create a security code keeping others from seeing your information.
Now you have to make sure everyone is on track with their calendars such as birthdays, meetings, appointments, practices, and anything else you may have coming up. With the Cozi app you can keep up with all of this and share by phone and/or email to everyone in your household. Not only does this app keep up with your calendar but it also allows you to create shopping and grocery lists to share. When you need to send your husband or older children to the store, simply share your list or have them click the app or check their email and all the items will be displayed. There is also a section for you to create To-Do lists, keeping everyone on track with their priorities, and even a journal that allows you to add photos and stories to your daily family activities, vacations, or outings. Keep a journal of your son's football season with stories of touchdowns and photos of those game winning tackles that your whole family can view when they can't make the games. You can use this app for free or upgrade to a premium account for a small fee.
Yet before you leave work for the day you must come up with a quick and easy dinner for the family. You may have time to run to the grocery store, but you may not. This is when the All Recipes app comes in handy. You can view thousands of recipes through many different categories. Check by specific ingredients that you may already have in the fridge, or maybe you want to create a healthy dinner option, bookmark your favorite recipes, and create and share shopping lists. You can also scan items at the grocery store that you are interested in buying and find recipes that include these products and even add them to your grocery list. This app offers a free subscription or an upgraded version with even more features.
There are many other apps that you can utilize to help make your life a little easier as a working mom. You can view your app directory on your smartphone or search Google Play available on most androids for free apps for a full list of what your cell phone carrier provides. Your kids, your husband, and you will find things a little more at ease by utilizing these and other apps, something you usually do on a daily basis.
