This update squashes several bugs in iMessage—such as the one experienced by some users that prevented iMessage from sometimes activating or even sending.
Besides the iMessage bugs, the accelerometer bug seems to have been handled, “iWorks” stability has been improved, and the ability of hackers to bypass the lock screen had been neutralized. Also, when Touch ID is enabled, the “slide to unlock” message will delay its appearance until your fingerprint is authenticated.
Other improvements included in this free iOS 7.0.3 update include:
The ability of “Spotlight” to again search the web and Wikipedia
The option to further reduce iOS 7 animations (which gives some users motion sickness). Going beyond the current options in the Settings menu, this update gives users the option of stopping all motion across iOS 7 by enabling “Reduce Motion”.
The repair of a “VoiceOver” issue that might cause it to be too sensitive—or lead to a drop in voice quality of “VoiceOver” or Siri.
Besides these bug fixes in this free update, Apple has added some new features like a password generator and “iCloud Keychain”. The new password generator is attached to “Safari” and helps you create secure passwords (a huge personal security improvement). The new “iCloud Keychain” feature aids “Safari” users in quickly and easily creating and entering secure passwords for websites. No longer will you have to remember what password goes to which site—or what your passwords are-- “iCloud Keychain” will remember them for you.
