The Swan House, built in 1926, was the home of the Inman family and still remains an infamous Atlanta landmark today. You can tour the inside of the mansion as well as its beautiful gardens. Visit the Smith Family Farm as part of your free admission, too. The Tullie Smith House is a plantation-style home built in the 1840s. The Smith House was moved to its current location in 1969 after being donated by heirs of the family, where restoration began thereafter. Tours are available Monday-Saturday 11-4pm and Sunday 1-4pm.
The Kenan Research Center is part of the Atlanta History Center campus. It is a free research center available to the public. Those who are curious about southern history or genealogy will make good use of this large 42,000 square foot library. The research center is open Wednesday-Saturday 10-5pm.
