There’s a lot going on at the Lauritzen Gardens this weekend! From Saturday, August 30th through September 1st (Labor Day), everyone can enjoy the gardens with free admission! Generous donors have made this possible, so if you’re looking for something to do with the family that’s inexpensive and relaxing, this is the place to be! Saturday and Sunday the gardens are open from 9am to 5pm, while they will be open longer Monday from 9am to 8pm. The café will also be open for lunch from 10-2, and 50-minute narrated tram tours will also be available at $3 a person.
But wait, there’s more! On Labor Day from 5-8pm, there is also the Leashes at Lauritzen event that is also free. This event allows patrons to bring their four-legged friends for a walk through the gardens as well. Of course, there are some rules which must be followed and include:
- Two dogs per adult
- Dogs must be up-to-date on registrations, rabies shots, and vaccinations and must have their rabies tags attached to their collars
- Dogs must stay on their leash
- Dogs are to stay out of the water features and garden beds
- Patrons are responsible for picking up and disposing of waste properly
This event typically costs $7 per adult and $3 per dog, but will be free on Labor Day!
So take some time to smell the flowers this weekend and head on down to the Lauritzen Gardens!
