Free 3D game for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch is both beautiful and calming (Photos)

According to an April 6 report in “App Craver”, “Famous Faces of Sports Quiz” has just entered the App Store. In this fun sports trivia game you have a limited time to match a basketball, football, soccer or hockey player's photo with the correct name. Each photo is partly obscured to make the game more challenging.

You can retake the quiz to improve your score. Your score is posted to global Game Center Leaderboards so you'll be competing with sports fans from around the world. Note: while this app is free and the football quiz is free, unlocking the basketball soccer and hockey quizzes requires a one-time in-app purchase. But even if you just take the football quiz, you and your friends will have lots of fun!

Also in app news today, “Crow” has just been made free in the App Store for a limited time. “Crow” is a beautiful story-based, action-adventure game with stunning 3D graphics. But it's not the typical combat-filled, quick-response, first or third-person shooter that you'd expect. Instead, it's actually quite relaxing. It has a wonderful musical score too.

In fact, in this game, your character isn't even a person, it's a crow. Your crow soars over the landscape of a world sandwiched between this one and the next, where an ancient battle is raging. Should your crow intervene and fight the owls and other evil fowls? The decisions you make affect the storyline.

Using the Radiance game platform, “Crow” provides a complete 3D world. Again, this game is free for a very limited time. Also, there are no ads and no in-app purchases.

Both games are universal apps, meaning they work with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. “Crow” works best on iPhone 3GS+, iPod touch (3rd generation+) and iPad. We'll have more news and free iPhone, iPad and iPod touch apps for you next time!
