Freckled lemonade brings awareness to Alex's Lemonade Stand

A lemonade stand has been a childhood right of passage. Selling an ice cold cup of lemonade for a small amount of money can teach kids a variety of life lessons while having fun. Red Robin wants to bring that childhood idealism to a fundraiser for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

On Wednesday, Aug. 20, National Lemonade Day, participating Red Robin restaurants nationwide will host lemonade stands offering free samples of Freckled Lemonade while collecting donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding better treatments and ultimately cures for all kids with cancer.

Alex's Lemonade Stand is fighting childhood cancer one cup of lemonade at a time. Since the inception of this charity, the foundation has raised over $60 million in donations. Through a simple concept, this charity shows that every person can make a difference.

Red Robin has also created four easy ways to help support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. While there will be special events on National Lemonade Day, Red Robin will be supporting the charity all year long. Guests are encouraged to order a Freckled Lemonade on any day of the year, and Red Robin will donate a portion of sales to the cause.

Three additional ways to help Red Robin win the fight, include:

  • Purchase an Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation eGift Card
  • Shop for exciting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation-inspired merchandise
  • Donate directly to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Enjoy a glass of refreshing freckled lemonade and support a worthy cause. What better way to celebration National Lemonade Day.
