Tomorrow at Beauty Bar, rain or shine, Frantic Clam will be having a party to release a teaser EP of songs from their upcoming album Lolita. The Austin glam-rockers will be joined by Candi and the Strangers, The Pons, MoTel Aviv and DJ Czech One. The teaser EP features 3 songs and will be made available for free (via download cards) at the show. It promises to be a fun night of great music, made better by free Treaty Oak Rum, Trevor Ray Thompson's photobooth, and freebies given away by Uvumi and TwoGroove.
Cover is free if you arrive between 9-10pm, $3 if you RSVP on Do512, and $5 at the door otherwise. The free rum starts flowing at 10pm and will likely run out in about an hour so get there early.
As an interesting side note, this show marks Uvumi.com's first foray into event sponsorship. The new website provides interviews with musicians, free press kits, and a medium for bands to post and share music. The owner, Marshall Stokes, will be on hand to share information about the site. Uvumi provides a free service to artists and Marshall is dedicated to promoting music. It is a good opportunity for local bands to meet up with him and say hi.
