GAINESVILLE, Fla. — When thinking of Frankie Muniz, his fans always perceive him as an actor, mainly because news stories always focus on his acting career such as “Malcolm in the Middle,” “Agent Cody Banks,” “Lost and Found” and many more.
However, fans of Muniz will be surprised what’s his hidden talent is; the actor is a drummer.
He’ll make a stop at High Dive Gainesville (HDG) with his rock band, Kingsfoil, this early February.
Muniz who suffered a mini stroke last year told FliSidePA.com that he started teaching himself how to play the drums since the age 12. Previously, he played drums in You Hang UP band, but it wasn’t until last April that he joined Kingsfoil.
Muniz, 27, had to audition for the band before he got in. When asked his reason for joining Kingsfoil, he told FlipSidePA.com that Kingsfoil is “‘his favorite band.’”
Clearly, Muniz passion for music has reciprocated through his work at Kingsfoil rock band.
Kingsfoil is an indie rock band formed in 2002 by Jordan Davis, the lead singer, and Tristan Martin, guitarist and keyboardist.
The band’s latest album “A Beating Heart is a Bleeding Heart” was released September of last year, five months after Muniz has joined Kingsfoil according to FlipSidePA.com.
Muniz will perform with his band, Kingsfoil, at HDG on Feb.6. Doors open at 8 p.m. For more information about tickets, please visit HDG website at www.highdivegville.com.
