Frankie Grande was informed of his grandfather’s passing earlier in the day and just before air time production took down the “We’ll be Right Back” fish and live feed subscribers watched and listened in as Frankie and the other “Big Brother 16” houseguests reacted to the sad news.
At approximately 4:58 p.m. PT today “Big Brother 16” live feed subscribers learned that Frankie Grande had been informed of his grandfather’s passing from cancer. The other houseguests were gathered with him in the living room of the house as Frankie talked about his grandfather’s previous two battles with cancer.
Zach Rance, who was the first houseguest shown on the live feeds, appeared shaken by the news. He and Frankie have grown close in the house, forming an alliance known as The Detonators.
Grande, as he was comforted by Amber, told the houseguests that his grandfather was 90 years old. Frank Grande and had battled stomach and colon cancer survivor and this third battle was another battle with stomach cancer.
Understandably shaken and grieving, with Jocasta sitting on one side and Amber on the other, Frankie told the “Big Brother 16” houseguests that he was glad he had the opportunity to speak with his grandfather Frank before he entered the “Big Brother” house.
Frankie received a letter from his family, which had been given to him in the Diary Room where production broke the sad news to the YouTube personality. According to sources, Frankie will be allowed to send a letter to his family.
Production gave Frankie the opportunity to remain in the Diary Room for the rest of the day, but Grande choose to be with his houseguests. He let them know he did not want to be alone following this devastating news.
Frank Grande’s funeral will be on Saturday, July 26. A celebration of his life will be held when Frankie returns home from the “Big Brother 16” game.
