Q. I read recently that Rock star Alice Cooper made some very complimentary remarks about Frank Sinatra. Do you know what they were?
A. Is this the right story? The source is MTV.
"Rocker Alice Cooper says legendary singer Frank Sinatra once performed his song `You & Me` as a thank you.
The `School`s Out` hitmaker said that Sinatra sang the song to thank him for helping a friend`s son realise his baseball dream, reported MTV online.
Cooper had no idea the kid he invited to join him in the dug-out for a celebrity baseball game was the son of Sinatra`s best pal Jilly Rizzo but he quickly found out that his generosity had been noted by his hero when Sinatra, also known as Ol` Blue Eyes, performed Cooper`s song during a magical Hollywood Bowl performance in 1977.
"We had a celebrity baseball game and this kid couldn`t get in, and I took him and put him on the bench - and it was Frank`s best friend`s son. He said, `I owe you one`. And that`s how he paid me back: He did one of my songs at the Hollywood Bowl. Isn`t that great...? He was cool," Cooper said."
