'To err is human, to forgive is divine.'
Last week, news broke of a brawl between Chris Brown and Frank Ocean. Ocean tweeted that he was jumped and Chris Brown was spotted wearing a cast on his arm. Many R&B beef jokes were made by people on social media but the situation had potential to be less than amusing if Ocean pressed charges against Brown who is currently on probation.
Ocean, who is scheduled to perform at the Grammys on the 10, is a man of forgiveness it seems. He took to his Tumblr to explain his decision concerning the brawl with Brown.
as a child i thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. but as a man i am not a killer. i’m an artist and a modern person. i’ll choose sanity. no criminal charges. no civil lawsuit. forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what i want in my short life. peace.
Chris Brown can breathe a sigh of relief and avoid situations that will bring negative focus to him. Right now that list includes Rihanna, weed and Frank Ocean.
