Frank Ocean has won his first Brit Award. The "Channel Orange" artist accepted the award on stage at the 2013 Brit Awards Wednesday, Feb. 20.

"Before this year, I didn't get many trophies in my life," Frank Ocean said accepting the polka dot filled trophy for Best International Male Act Wednesday.

Looking back over his past with a smile, Ocean joked about working fast food and winning awards.

"I'm definitely a long way from working fast food in New Orleans. Thank you guys for this. Thanks to Damien for the polka dots. You have a good night," said Ocean.

Joining Frank Ocean, Lana Del Ray picked up the award for Best International Female Act. During her acceptance speech, Del Ray talked about how she recorded her album in Europe and felt at home.

As previously reported, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard and Mumford & Sons led the pack of early winners in categories like Best Female Solo Artist and Best British Breakthrough Act.

With performances from Taylor Swift, One Direction, Mumford & Sons, Emeli Sande, Justin Timberlake and more, the 2013 Brit Awards took place at the O2 Arena in London.
