Frank Ocean will not press charges against Chris Brown

On Feb. 2 Grammy nominated artist Frank Ocean revealed in a post on his Tumblr page that he will not be pressing charges against singer Chris Brown for an alleged assault that happened on Jan. 27 outside a West Hollywood recording studio. In his post Ocean wrote that even though it may be difficult, he chooses to forgive instead of drawing out the incident.

On his official Tumblr page Ocean wrote, "As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in my murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short live. Peace."

Since the incident took place there has been changing stories. First, someone on Brown's camp said that Brown was attacked, then Ocean tweeted, "Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish everest (his dog) was there."

Later, a witness came forward to say Brown punched Ocean in the parking lot. Since the incident, Brown has not tweeted and after Brown posted a picture of himself on a cross, he made his instagram photo page private.
