Frank Ocean added to Grammy performers

This year’s most-nominated R&B artist has officially been added to the performers for the 55th annual awards.

The Recording Academy announced that the 25-year-old singer-songwriter will take the stage on Sunday, February 10, at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Ocean is nominated in six categories including Record of the Year for “Thinkin Bout You,” Album of the Year for his critically-acclaimed debut channel ORANGE, and Best New Artist.

The R&B crooner hinted that he would be performing in a tweet following his ugly confrontation with fellow singer Chris Brown. “cut my finger now I can’t play w two hands at the grammys,” he wrote.

Previously announced performers include Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys with Maroon 5, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, FUN., the Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Carrie Underwood, Ed Sheeran, and more.

Hopefully Ocean will use his voice and not his hands on Grammy night. It could be a very big night for him.
