France is worried about self-immolations in Tibet

Efforts by Beijing to clamp down on reports about the tense situation have not been successful. News about the repressive situation in Tibet and the shocking series of self-immolations by Tibetans protesting Chinese rule now has France concerned about the situation.  The Tibet Post International has reported "France fires China over Tibetan self-immolation."

The government of France has recently openly condemned the Beijing government in regard to the deteriorating situation in Tibet and has urged an end the wave of self-immolations inside Tibet. At a recent press conference the Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French government, Beorne Walailuo (Bernard Valero) has said that the government of his country is worried over the wave of self-immolations in the Chinese occupied Tibet.

The French spokesperson has said that the chain of self-immolations by the Tibetans are the expression of despair and Chinese suppression. And he has commented "French talks with Chinese government or talks of European countries and China, always remind the Beijing government to respect for the human rights." Paris is now putting Beijing more on guard than ever that the international community is watching carefully what is going on in Tibet and is concerned about the human rights situation there.
