Fran Warren has died. The “Sunday Kind of Love” singer has passed away at the age of 87, the Associated Press reported on Mar. 19.
According to the report, Fran Warred died of natural causes at her home in Brookfield, Connecticut on Mar. 4 of natural causes.
Warren is best known for her 1947 hit “Sunday Kind of Love,” which was one of the classic hit songs from the big band era.
Fran’s career lasted over 50 years with songs that included a duets with Tony Martin, “I Said My Pajamas and Put On My Prayers,” and Lisa Kirk, with “Dearie” and “It’s Anybody’s Heart.”
Fran Warren also appeared in films, her most famous being “Abbott and Costello Meet Captain Kidd,” and often appeared on talk shows such as Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin, and Steve Allen.
Fran Warren dies leaving behind two daughters, a son-in-law, and two nieces.
