'Fragments of the Past' is a lovely ‘new’ antique and vintage items store that has opened for business in downtown Robbins, North Carolina. Owner, Sandra Womack, had been discussing the idea of opening up a store with her husband for many years, but then her mother became ill, so for more than 6 years, Sandra was her caregiver. Her mother passed away recently, so Sandra decided it was time to open up that store.
Located at 105 S. Middleton Street in Robbins, her store has also been the home to a pizza restaurant, and a ladies workout gym, which explains the black and white tile on the floor, and the lavender colored walls! Now it has been transformed into a wonderful venue filled with fun knick knacks and many treasures that are truly a ‘Fragment of the Past’.
Sandra’s inventory is a collection of her own items, and also consignment pieces. She is still accepting consignments, so when you get around to doing some Spring Cleaning, take those no longer needed treasures over to her and make some money!
She has a variety of items that range from antique to new. The day that I stopped by she had an entire table top covered with rooster themed items! So fun…who doesn’t love roosters and chickens? She also carries a line of custom designed children’s clothing called ‘Crooked Pigtails’ that are simply adorable. You have to go see these clothes. They would make a great gift for the grandbabies.
Fragments of the Past is open Tuesday through Friday 10am to 6pm, and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted for payment. For more information, please call (919) 499-7056, or send Sandra an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
