Fragile times

How fragile do you feel?  Encarta defines this word as easily broken.  You can be both physically and mentally fragile.  To be human is to have fragile times.  Yes, even the most courageous individual has moments of fragility.  This does not mean you are a weak person.  Actually, it is quite contrary to this belief.  Many find, in hindsight of a traumatic event, they are much stronger than they initially thought.

If you are feeling fragile, you too will survive; you’ll find your way back to strength.  When you feel that bleak blanket of heaviness come over you, remember to continue to breathe.  Simply inhale and exhale.  The heaviness will probably hold on and it will try to suck the warmth from your being and it will engage your weakest feelings.  It is okay to just sit with this.  As you sit, your eyes will adjust to its darkness.  Continue to breathe and allow this to ease the anxiety.  It will help you become sturdy.

Know that your body is created to survive; you have the tools and the spirit to move through this.  Your spirit holds on to the will to survive, this was gifted to you at birth.

You reflect the miracle of life and it is bigger and brighter than even the darkest experience.

Embrace life and allow this to manifest hope.  Hope will overpower fragility.  It will dissolve the bleak blanket of heaviness.  It will help you to find strength.

Remember to feel fragile is to feel human.  It will come and when it does, it will overwhelm but it is part of life.  And, each time you push past fragility, you’ll gain stamina.  This is your prolife resilience that empowers you to conquer fragility time and time again!
