With the year up in wraps 2014 is looking to feel like a new start for the next generation. We're looking forward for what new type of shooter or returning one would hold up for our next competing systems. Will there be a return of the Fallout Series or will we see something bigger from Halo or id Software? With those questions remaining in the dark let's take a look of what is to come, so far, in 2014.
Thief (PC, PS3, PS4, 360, One) - The Thief series was such a hit in the shadows, but after nearly 10 years, it's ready reveal itself to the world once again in a reboot. Fans have been skeptical and worried that the game may end up looking like Dishonored with a different dress, but one shouldn't cast judgement yet. Thief releases Feb 25, 2014.
Wolfenstein: The New Order (PC, PS3, PS4, 360, One) - While not being developed by it's originals, id Software, The New Order looks promising enough to make it look like it was made by id. Crazy new weapons, kicking Nazi tooshie, and just blowing things up is enough to make John Carmack bring a smile to his face. New Order's release is sometime in 2014.
Titanfall (PC, 360, One) Although Multiplayer focused, Titanfall has grasp thousands of attentions with it's exciting looking warfare while using giant robots. Now seriously? Who wouldn't want that? Titanfall looks to be one of the greatest of the year and could probably make plays say "Call of What?" Titanfall comes out March 11, 2014.
Destiny (PS3, PS4, 360, One) - While Bungie may no longer work on the titan that is Halo, they will move on to bigger and better things, like making a new game. With the rumors sparking since the release of Halo 3 ODST, this is looking to be one of the greatest games that will ever come out and possibly stay in your console for a very long time. Bungie has started with Marathon, dominated with Halo, and who knows what's in store for their new shooter.
