Foxy Shazam, the self-proclaimed "Michael Jordan of Rock N' Roll," from Cincinatti, Ohio will headline Mohawk Place in downtown Buffalo on Thursday, February 2.
The experimental rockers who "want to be the biggest band in the world" are touring in support of their latest effort, The Church of Rock and Roll, released January 24 on I.R.S Records. The 11-track album, which features the single I Like It, is said to have a more unrefined and underproduced sound.
The six-piece previously released three albums: The Flamingo Trigger (2005), Introducing Foxy Shazam (2008, Ferret Music), and Foxy Shazam (2010, Sire Records) and has played Lollapalooza and Warped Tour. The band's single Unstoppable was featured in Super Bowl XLIV, the video game NHL11, the theme song for Cartoon Network's second live-action show Tower Prep, and the trailer for the movie Your Highness. Foxy Shazam will provide direct support on the Darkness' winter U.S. tour this February.
