DOVER-FOXCROFT-- The Foxcroft Ponies girls tennis team reached the preliminary round of the class B tournament last season.
Coach Ryan Dankert is hoping his team can use that experience to take it to the next level this season.
"My hope this season is to build off last year's accomplishment of making the playoffs. We lost our top player to graduation, but I'm looking forward to seeing the others step up,"Dankert said. "The experience from last season should provide confidence knowing they can compete with the better teams. For this group of girls, I hope the competitive drive to get better, will push them to the next level."
Tia Tondreau and Kate Morrison are the key returning singles players for the Ponies.
Mackenzie Coiley, Ricky Chen, Ally Bradshaw, Gabby Fevens and Kaivan Kai are the key returning doubles players for Dankert and the Ponies.
Foxcroft is scheduled to open their season on April 22nd with a match at Hermon. Their first home match is scheduled for April 24th against Dexter.
