According to FOX Television the short synopsis of “Hieroglyph” is right here, - “A notorious thief is plucked from prison to serve the Pharoah, navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers.”
The TV cast includes, Kelsey Chow, Reece Ritchie, John Rhys-Davies, Condola Rashad, Max Brown, Caroline Ford & Antony Bunsee.
According to the press release of the “New Mexico Film Office” (NMFO). “Hieroglyph” will employ 150 New Mexico crew members & 150 resident actors and background (Extra) talent. These projects generally involve both direct and indirect benefits to our local economy and we welcome their team and look forward to working with them.”
FOX television has abolished the TV pilot season for 2014. Instead of ordering numerous pilots hoping the network will pick it up for the Fall TV season. They will carefully choose pilots that will go onto a regular series.
According to an interview with FOX chairman Kevin Reilly at “Deadline Hollywood.” He explains the network's reason for the difference in choosing TV pilots. “We are abandoning pilot season, not pilots. Pilots still are a helpful tool, especially on the comedy side where the alchemy is fragile, and you really need the casting to inform your decision on the project. We will be ordering pilots geared towards series instead of making 10 pilots hoping to get one series on the air, I’d like to make it more 1-to-1 ratio,”
Here are the FOX TV comedies geared toward a regular series. “Cabot College”, “Dead Boss”, “Fatrick”, “No place like home”, “Last man on earth” (Ordered straight to series), “Mulaney” (Ordered straight to series, 6 episodes), “Sober Companion” & “Weird Loners” (Ordered straight to series, 6 episodes).
