FOX Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews was a Florida Gators cheerleader (20 Photos)
After growing up in the Tampa, Florida area, and being a high school cheerleader at Bloomingdale High in Valrico, Erin Andrews decided to attend the University of Florida. She actually tried out for the Florida Gators cheerleader squad when she was a senior in high school and made it to the final cuts, but did not make the team as a freshmen.
Despite not making the team, Erin practiced with the squad her freshmen year, and then was a Florida Gators cheerleader during her sophomore, junior and senior years. Erin Andrews was a member of the Florida Gators Dazzlers dance team. She performed at both college football games, and men's college basketball games.
Erin Andrews attended the University of Florida from 1997 to 2000. She has always loved to dance, and her sister, Kendra Andrews, is a professional dancer and actress. So it was only natural that Erin Andrews was a Florida Gators Dazzlers cheerleader.
As far as broadcasting goes, it was also only natural for Erin Andrews to become a broadcaster. Her father, Steve Andrews, is a seven-time Emmy Award winning broadcaster who works for TV station WFLA in Tampa, Florida. Steve interviewed daughter Erin for a broadcast back in 2010 when she was on "Dancing with the Stars."
