Fox News reporter on scene in Wisconsin greeted with 'Fox lies!' chants (Video)

Today the crowd around a Fox Business News reporter started chanting "Fox lies!" while he was trying to do an on scene report from the Capitol building in Madison, Wisconsin.  Jeff Flock clearly was bothered when the group of protesters surrounding him started the chant when the network went to him live.  Flock tried to refute the crowd by telling them this "Fox Business" not "Fox News."  That defense clearly did not go over well as the crowd just kept chanting (video to the left).

To his credit, Flock did try to give one of the chanters an opportunity to cite examples of when "Fox lies."  The man simply kept chanting, but many have cited instances of "fair and balanced" network covering the protests in a very slanted way.  Tea Party protesters last year were covered as "Americans standing up to make their voice heard."  Over the last week Fox News has portrayed the Wisconsin protesters as something of a "mob" which could turn violent.  Two days ago Fox News ran footage of the protesters with a tag line at the bottom of the screen that read "Wisconsin is Burning."  Today Fox News commentator Karl Rove said that the protests were creating "anarcy" in Madison.  Ironically, the end of the interview hinted at this theme when the host of the show asked Flock if he believed there was the potential for violence when counter protesters come to the Capitol building tomorrow.

Clearly the protesters in Wisconsin are a "anti-Fox" crowd, so Fox News may need to insulate themselves from the protesters if they wish to avoid the "Fox lies!" chant in the future.

DUHHHHH! The 10% of the minority.
You can't win this one! Ain't gonna happen...

There are now the socialist groups involved from out of state. The SEIU gentleman and women. Nice people but their ideas are the fringe. FAR fringe. Except for their connection to the top.

    Ain't gonna win it!

The protesters have a problem with the truth so naturally they hate Fox.

  • Alternate Paul Williamson 1 year ago

I assume people who do not like Fox "News" must hate it.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Actually Fox usually has a problem with the truth. Rightfully so too.

"Those who watched Fox News almost daily were significantly more likely than those who never watched it to believe that most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely), most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points), the economy is getting worse (26 points), most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)"

Fox likes to give VERY bias news in order to help their corporate buddies.

If you're still hesitant please read this as well.

If you watch Fox News at least think of giving another news source a chance.

Mr. Union boss, we don't want to pay more into our own benefits. Our State is broke but we don't want to do anything to help. We have a much better deal than the private citizens who pay us and we don't want to give ti up. What do we say?

    Ahhh...Fox lies?

  • Busted flat in Milwaukee 1 year ago

    Walmart wages for everyone!

  • ********* 1 year ago

It's not about paying for our benefits. It's not about a "broke" state. It's about having and keeping the right to collectively bargain. It's about keeping the right to unionize. It's about keeping the right to negotiate.

  • Union Busted 1 year ago

President Obama is a spread the wealth man as are his supporters. Where does spread the burden come to play?

Or do these unions just want their share of the wealth and not their share of the burden?

And the pure in your face irony of these protesters carrying signs with the Gov with a Hitler mustache and comparing him to Mussolini, the Taliban etc since these are the exact same people who have for 2 years slammed the Tea Party and made false accusations about THEIR signs and how crude rude and insulting they though they were.

    My how perceptions change.
If this crowd was the tea Party with the EXACT same signs, a Democrat Gov would be calling out th eNG to empty the state house of them.

The country sees this and it will not end well for the left.

Unions have "collectively bargained" themselves into the elites of the economy. They can control whatever they want, whenever they want and have huge pockets. Welcome to "democracy"...

You have Unions confused with Corporations.

We democrats don't have to be law abiding. Like the last time we fled to Texas to avoid a legal vote that wasn't going the way we demanded. We once again have usurped the law and demand that we get our way no matter how many laws we break in fleeing from our job and American law. We are above the law!

  • Anon 1 year ago

Those Democrat Senators were doing what I voted for them to do. The Republican Senators who voted on the bill before the set time, before the Democrats walked into the room, were acting above the law.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Yes, you voted for them to commit criminal acts. Which is why the governor can have them arrested. You fricken moron. (:

    "Can troopers arrest Wisconsin senators?
A member of the Legislature can only be arrested for a felony, treason or for breaching the peace, a spokesman for Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said today."

I am not surprised to read the stupid and ignorant rant about Labor Unions. For the information of these arch-philistines, just 400 richest individuals in this country command $1.4 trillion dollars in wealth. Just 10 percent of these blood-suckers is enough to wipe out the combined deficit of all states.

Scott Walker, Obama and his ilk are the unabashed political sycophants of these social parasites. It is a lie that there is no money. Between the Federal Reserve and the US Treasury (now an adjunct of Goldman Sachs) Wall Street gamblers and criminals, who caused the economic crisis in the first place, have been handed over at least 13 trillion dollars.

The two big-business parties want to now offload the crisis on to the backs of workers who not only do not bear a responsibility to the ongoing and developing economic disaster but also are its direct victims. Not only should this attack be opposed but in fact it is essential to wage a political counter offensive against these "democratic" dictators a la Egypt. Nothing less than a mass movement for true democracy will do.

    Oh, BTW.

"Nothing less than a mass movement for true democracy will do."

Do you know how stupid this statement is? It is no better than having a dictator. It is simply a different form of tyranny.

The difference is that a "massive movement for true Democracy" involves hundreds of thousands of people coming together to agree on an issue. Dictator is only one person.

Thank you! That top 5% owns 50% of EVERYTHING. Some people would like to return to the early 1900's when child labor laws and 8 hour days were nonexistent. Some people would like to use the economy as an excuse to gut our society. Some people = Faux News fans.

Are you really this dense? Do you really not see the ignorance in your post?

  • daniel moss 1 year ago

hey paul, something some don't seem to understand is that each state is an employer with a payroll. When they can't meet that payroll, what are they to do? Union solutons is to charge to customer
(taxpayer) more for their services. Customer (taxpayer) response is to move business out of state to avoid increase in taxes. The net result is less revenue for state(employer) to meet payroll.Theresults are both state and union thugs lose.

Anyone who listens to ANY MSM is stupid, did you hear me...stupid.

Fox does lie, all MSM lie and manipulate the information. Fox just got caught rigging the support level for Ron Paul, they were forced to put out an apology.
