Fox News regular at CPAC says Rachel Maddow is a good example not to have kids

The issue of contraception has become a major issue over the last few days, taking up time on television, radio and other news media. Conservatives are pushing back against it while liberals believe it should be free to use for anyone who wants it. During the conservative CPAC this week, Fox News regular Cal Thomas made a speech and decided, not only to bring up the contraception issue, but to also bring down MSNBC’s host Rachel Maddow as well.

Cal Thomas: "I’m glad that you played the Rachel Maddow clip because I think she is the best argument in favor of her parents using contraception. I would be all for that. And all of the rest of the crowd at MSNBC, too, for that matter."
Rachel Maddow responded later in the day and politico sent out the statement
“Mr. Fox News person speaking there... I’m sorry that you feel that way about me, that you wish I had never been born...Personally, I’m glad that you were born. Otherwise, how would Republicans get the special Fox News bat signal that it’s time to be outraged now about what used to be Republicans’ own policy idea?”

Politics is a dirty game, no one is denying that, but there are times when people cross a line. As each conservative stepped up to the podium, the anger and the venom became worse. The entire CPAC convention didn't provide any solutions to problems in the United States, just consistent hatred for President Obama and his voters. In Government, people have different views, and to represent the diversity in American we elect officials that represent those views and want them to make laws that reflect how we feel. A compromise is normally met to please everyone. Over the last few years it has been evident that Republicans don't want to compromise and this weeks CPAC showed they want to go one step further.

If Mr. Thomas and his speech are an accurate reflection of the conservative mindset then the country is not being served in the way it deserves. The United States deserves a mature, credible outcome, and by calling for people who you don't agree with not to be born, is an injustice and a sad moment and reflection on some members of our society.
