The right-wing propaganda machine is alive and well and it found its way, once again, on Fox News.
During a recent episode of "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News, host Bill O'Reilly had on soft liberal Alan Colmes and right-wing talker Monica Crowley. Crowley decided to take the conversation in a different direction, plugging her book and accused President Obama of being part of a Communist or Socialist revolution.
"I go in great detail here about the extreme left and what they are all about. They are essentially revolutionaries, Bill, you can call them Communist revolutionaries or Socialist revolutionaries. Oliver Stone is pretty adamant in his points and stating them and their frustration is not that Barack Obama is sort of a moderate, their frustration is Barack Obama is engaging in his revolutionary activity a little too slowly for their timeline. They want to see him move further and faster than he already has with the fundamental transformation of the nation."
To his credit, O'Reilly cut Crowley off claiming that she didn't have all the facts and stating that she was stuck to an ideology that she would defend even when the facts prove otherwise. O'Reilly noted Obama's increase drone use and minimal cuts to the NSA program as proof that he isn't trying to destroy or transform the country.
The right-wing media, from Fox News to the "blogosfere," attack the president at every turn. While President Obama is far from a perfect President, with many in his own base constantly criticizing him, the attacks from the far right are so outrageous that they dilute any rational argument they may have.
