With the 2012 election in the rear view mirror, networks have finished the compiling of last year's data and the results were not good for Fox News among African Americans.
MSNBC was the biggest winner overall, having grown their African American audience by 60.5% between 2011 and 2012. According to mediaite.com the CNN network saw an increase of 23.7%, but Fox News saw a decline of 23.7%. This is one of the sharpest drops in viewership of minorities since stations began keeping public track.
These numbers may come as no surprise considering Fox's continuous anti-Obama programing, as it was previously reported that in 2012 President Barack Obama was carrying 94% of the African American vote.
Nevertheless Fox executives are not concerned enough to change anything, as African Americans only make up 1.4% of the network's total audience.
