Following the controversial new report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that gave confusing news on the Affordable Care Act, Republicans and conservatives attempted to mold the news into their own new talking point. The CBO noted that due to the new health care law, the equivalent of over 2 million job hours would be lost. Republicans spun this news as more evidence of "Obamacare" being a job killer, but that spin was quickly debunked by the CBO explaining that those people leaving the work force were doing so on their own. Americans could now choose to leave the jobs they were holding onto only for the benefits, or even decide to retire instead of continuing to be in the work force, instead opening up the job market for those who need the actual income.
In response to debunking of this newest talking point, Fox News host and conservative blogger Eric Erickson decided to take to his blog at Redstate.com to blast not only the president, but also what he calls the "liberal media."
"You guys in the press who are reading this right now can be such shameless whores. I generally try to hold to the standard these days that if I wouldn't be outraged by George Chimpy McBushitler Halliburton and Darth Cheney doing something, I shouldn't be outraged by President Obama. And if I’d be outraged by Bush, I should be outraged by Obama.
But you journalists have such erections for everything Barack Obama does, you can’t even summon outrage to report fairly on the latest b.s. from the administration over Obamacare. Is it any wonder so many people have stopped trusting you?"
Erickson continued with his rant, claiming that the "liberal media" wanted to have sex with President Obama and have his baby.
"If this was George Bush telling businesses they cannot take advantage of an arguable unconstitutional restricting of law done without Congress’s consent unless the businesses swore oaths that they’d lie if they need to downsize due to Obamacare costs, the media would start talking about impeaching the President in non-ironic ways.
But with President Obama, half of MSNBC still wants to have his baby and the women over there just want to be his mistress. Hell, France’s President has one."
Erickson's outrage shouldn't come as a surprise and should be expected to occur more often as millions of American continue to obtain health care for the first time in their lives. While their is such a thing as liberal media, just as their is conservative media, but Erick Erickson needs to realize that just because your attempted talking point gets shot down, doesn't mean the results were bias, it just means that you were.
