Fox News host calls college basketball champions UConn the 'NAACP' champs

Following their historic national championship win, the UConn basketball team was inadvertently announced as a winner of another championship.

During an episode of Fox and Friends, co-host Heather Childers announced the University of Connecticut as the "NAACP national champs," as opposed to the correct NCAA national champions.

“The UConn Huskies are the 2014 NAACP national champs.”

During her second go-around, Childers corrected herself and has recently tweeted out an apology. The majority of the UConn basketball team just happens to be African-American, a top focus of the NAACP, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, who focus on the civil rights of African Americans and other minorities.
