Fox News co-host rape remark causes huge uproar

Fox News co-host rape remark causes huge uproar from fans. Bob Beckel made a comment that he should have kept to himself. On Feb. 20, TV Guide reported that he is apologizing for his mistake.

Bob said: "when was the last time you heard about a rape on campus?" His co-host commented that it happens all the time and that date rape is a huge problem. He is now saying he is sorry and said: " a horrible, horrendous issue. And it's simply put, this, rape is rape. Whether it's date rape or it's somebody coming in off the campus trying to rape somebody else. I very strongly feel that way," he said. "And so, I just want to straighten the record out on that. I simply was trying to make -- there was not a distinction to make here. It simply was that date rape is rape. And that is, by any other definition, rape is rape."

Bob Beckel might want to think before he speaks next time. He has made a lot of people upset and they will be boycotting watching him on television after his remark. Will you still watch Fox News?

What do you think of his rape remark? Do you think that meant that date rape is not rape or did he just not realize what he was saying? Hopefully he will learn his lesson from this situation and think before he speaks next time they are talking about something so personal. Sound off in the comments below.
