FOX announced on Thursday (December 1) its midseason 2012 schedule, including premiere dates for new shows "Alcatraz," "Napoleon Dynamite," "Touch" and "Bones" spin-off "The Finder," plus the returns of "American Idol," "Breaking In" and "Bob's Burgers."
J.J. Abrams' "Alcatraz" will air on Mondays starting January 16 with a two-hour season finale on March 12. The time slot then goes to Kiefer Sutherland's new drama "Touch" on March 19. "House" will move up an hour to 8/7c beginning January 23.

FOX will launch a new two-hour comedy block on March 6 after "Glee" goes on a brief hiatus. Reruns of Zooey Deschanel's "New Girl" will lead the line-up, followed by Season 2 of the resurrected Christian Slater comedy "Breaking In," brand new "New Girl" episodes and "Raising Hope."

"American Idol" will continue its Wednesday-Thursday schedule, launching Season 11 on January 18. "The Finder" will premiere after the fall finale of "Bones" on Thursday, January 12 (originally scheduled for December 15) and begin airing after the "American Idol" results show the following week. "Bones" is expected to return in the spring.
"Napoleon Dynamite" will take "Allen Gregory's" current time slot starting Sunday, January 15, while "Bob's Burgers" takes its spot on March 11.
New comedy "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" is missing from the schedule, however FOX has promised that it will return in the spring, airing after "Idol's" 90-minute Wednesday performance show.
