Fox fall lineup for 2014-15 season: 'Bones,' 'Gotham' premiere dates and more

Fox announced on Thursday (July 10) the premiere dates for its fall lineup for the upcoming 2014-15 TV season.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, the schedule includes new reality series "Utopia," Batman prequel "Gotham," rookie comedy "Mulaney" and a special crossover premiere episode involving "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons," in addition to returning series such as "Bones," "Sleepy Hollow," "New Girl," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Hell's Kitchen."

The network kicks things off with the three-part debut of "Utopia" on Sunday, Sept. 7 and continuing in its regular time slots on Tuesday, Sept. 9 and on Friday, Sept. 12 at 8/7 p.m. CT. The new show follows a group of people building their own society. It will be followed on Tuesday, Sept. 16 by the season premieres of "New Girl" and "The Mindy Project" at 9/8 p.m. CT and 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT, respectively.

Gordon Ramsay's reality competition show "Hell's Kitchen" returns for its latest season with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 10 starting at 8/7 p.m. CT. His "MasterChef Junior" won't be back for its second season until Friday, Nov. 7 at 8/7 p.m. CT.

Wednesday, Sept. 17 will see the premiere of the Octavia Spencer-led coming-of-age hospital dramedy "Red Band Society" at 9/8 p.m. CT.

"Gotham," which looks at the early days of classic Batman characters, debuts on Monday, Sept. 22 at 8/7 p.m. CT paired with Season 2 of the hit series "Sleepy Hollow."

The long-running "Bones" returns for its 10th season on Thursday, Sept. 25 at 8/7 p.m. CT. It will be followed by "Gracepoint," a 10-part mystery based on the UK drama "Broadchurch," starting on Oct. 2 at 9/8 p.m. CT.

Fox's new Sunday lineup debuts on Sunday, Sept. 28 with "The Simpsons" at 8/7 p.m. CT followed by "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "Family Guy." They will be joined by "Bob's Burgers" and new comedy "Mulaney" beginning on Oct. 5 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT and 9:30/8:30 p.m. CT, respectively.

The network also announced this week that the final season of "Glee" has been shortened from 22 to 13 episodes to air consecutively, according to The Wrap. A premiere date will be revealed at a later date.
