FOX creates 'The Following' photo booth opportunity for early fans in L.A.

If you're out walking around Hollywood, and you suddenly see an ominous photo booth set up outside Hollywood & Highland, don't worry; you won't be kidnapped by a serial killer...Well, not a real one anyway. FOX is creating an opportunity for early adopter fans (cough, us, cough) of The Following to put themselves in the story as either a colleague of Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) or a follower of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy). Or both.

Click here for our advance review of The Following pilot.

While in the photo booth, you can don your most concerned expression and have the option to overlay a custom image themed to the show of Hardy sitting next to you. Or try your hand at a regular smiling shot and choose the option of Carroll sneaking up behind you, unknowingly. Of course, you may want to smile sinisterly and overlay the Poe-eque writing (like the key art or particular pilot character) written all over your face.

Of course the photo booth will make the images fully shareable across the major social networks. This same photo-altering app will be available on Facebook for those of you who can't get down to Hollywood and Highland in person.

We are dropping a mysterious photo booth in LA. Curious fans will step into the booths to take photos and will be able to add one of three custom overlays themed to the show – they’ll be able to have Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) seated next to them, see Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) sneaking up behind them or have Poe-esque writing (like the key art) written all over their faces. Photos will be fully shareable across major social networks. For those who are unable to visit the booths, the same photo-altering app will be available on Facebook for fans to experience THE FOLLOWING.

The photo booth will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Thursday, January 17th to Monday, January 21st.

The Following premieres on January 21st at 9 p.m. on FOX.
