Fox Television execs claim they have not made American Idol judge decisions yet, despite all the widespread rumors running around.
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are both believed to be the next replacements for Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell, but Fox's chairman Peter Rice and president Kevin Reilly stated that much of the speculation that was out there has not been accurate.
Contrary to popular belief, Fox executives tried to convince Ellen to stay on the show, but they said Ellen "didn't feel like the show was a good fit." But they wouldn't talk about the future of either Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. "We will not get into the speculation," they said.
“We feel confident we can come up with a panel that doesn't include Ellen,” The execs added. They insisted that no new contracts on any judge that wasn't on last year have been signed.
