Fox has announced that they will be bringing a Batman themed television series titled, "Gotham" to their lineup this fall. This series will tell the origin story of the famed Commissioner Gordon as well as the famous villains that Commissioner Gordon has had to fight in Gotham City over the years. But, Batman will not make an appearance in the show. This is all Commissioner Gordon's story.
Supposedly, tthis one one of the biggest bidding wars for any television show during this round of show pitches this season. The show was bought from Warner Brothers and will be written by Bruno Heller who created the "Mentalist".
With the success of "Dark Knight"and the television shows, "Arrow", "Smallville" and the soon to be "Flash", will there be room for one more DC hit?
There is also news that NBC will be picking up a "Constantine" show, another DC character for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for that story next.
So, do you think that "Gotham" will be successful without Batman? Please watch the video above and see what you think.
