FOX and Warner Bros to release 'September's Notebook' from 'Fringe'

We love a good TV tie-in more than most people, so this morning's announcement from FOX and Warner Brothers about the release of "September's Notebook," from Fringe has us wishing Santa visited more than once a year!

In tonight's episode of Fringe, "The Boy Must Live," September (guest star Michael Cerveris) reveals to Walter (John Noble) that he had been keeping a notebook of all of his observations through space and time. This book is the exact book that is being released and has already been available for pre-order.

While there are other Fringe books available (including the also highly anticipated three-part prequel that tells Walter's, Olivia's (Anna Torv), and Peter's (Joshua Jackson) stories years before they joined the Fringe Team), series executive producer J.H. Wyman feels this is the ultimate piece of show history.

“We couldn’t have picked a better framework for this book with the Observers. Where we went this season is ultimately so Observer-heavy and it reveals some things that are really mind-blowing. We wanted to include the notebook in this upcoming episode, as it encompasses September’s journey from beginning to end. The fact that we are able to share it with the fans, after the episode airs, is truly exciting. September’s writing exhibits what he admires most about the human spirit’s most beautiful quality— hope," Wyman said in a statement to the press.

Wyman and series executive producer Jeff Pinkner wrote a special foreward for the book, but the authors are Tara Bennett and Paul Terry. Inside the pages you will find exclusive photos and concept art, little known quirks and facts about each character, and of course, insight into fringe science. Design features throughout the book build upon the many symbols and codes woven into the show's fabric, uncovering truths never before revealed. The book is designed as an extension of the show and its mythology.

You can pre-order "September's Notebook" for release on March 12 2013 here. Fringe will air its series finale on January 18th 2013 on FOX.
