Fourth Annual Nick Smiles 5k Challenge will be held May 17

The FOURTH Annual Nick Smiles 5K Challenge & 1 Mile Walk will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014. The race and walk, which is held in West Chester, honors Nick Mullin, a graduate of Bishop Shanahan, who passed away in 2010 after a four-year battle with cancer. All proceeds of the race benefit the Bishop Shanahan Fine Arts Department, as Nick had a passion for the Fine Arts.

The race and walk will be held in West Chester at 8:30 am at the corners of Church and Market Streets. Registration will open at 7:30 am at Ryan's Pub on West Gay Street.

Registration is $25 and is available online at www.nicksmiles.org. If you cannot make the race but still want to participate, there are levels of sponsorship. Be an "Event Patron" with a $25 donation or part of "Friends of Nick Smiles" with a $100 donation, which will be recognized on Facebook and Twitter. Business sponsorships are available as well.

Consider participating in a good cause to honor Nick Mullin and support the Shanahan Fine Arts Department.
