On Sep. 9 Radar Online exclusively learns that a fourth adult film star has come forward as being HIV positive in the past three weeks. It might be too early to call it an epidemic, but it certainly is a cause for concern within the adult film industry. Many call this sudden acknowledgement of HIV positive tests a political move because of the 2012 campaign to require all adult film stars to wear condoms.
An adult film actress who goes by the stage name Cameron Bay was the first person that tested positive for HIV and admitted to the illness. After her, an actor that goes by Rod Daily was the second to test positive. While Daily stars in mostly homosexual adult films, he has admitted to being in a sexual relationship with Cameron Bay outside of work. His film partners have been tested, and none of them tested positive.
After Bay tested positive, the adult film industry shut down filming for a week to test remaining stars that had been working with Bay. The medical advisory counsel lifted the stay on production after all performers that had worked with her tested clean.
In reality, everyone that tested positive could have easily prevented the life threatening infection by simply wearing a condom. If more people come forward with positive tests, then it could end up shutting down the multi-million dollar adult film industry in the wake of such a huge health crisis.
