Police are on the scene of a shooting at the Fairmont Terrace apartments in Tulsa, Okla. where they were called just after 12:30 p.m. today. When they arrived, they found four women shot to death inside one of the apartments.
Police also discovered one 4-year-old child inside the apartment. The youngster was unharmed and has been placed in protective custody according to KJRH in Tulsa.
Police said that were called initially after someone had gone to the apartment to check on its occupants and found the four dead women.
Reportedly, an individual had spoken to an occupant of the apartment an hour before the bodies were discovered.
Police are in the process of canvassing the area. They’re hoping to find some witnesses to the activities in that apartment and are asking for anyone with any information to come forward.
Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan said that unfortunately, there aren’t any security or surveillance cameras installed at the apartment complex.
Tulsa Police Officer Leland Ashley said "it's not every day you see something like this in the city of Tulsa."
"It's very tough right now."
The victims have not yet been identified.
