Jason Allred of the U.S., Kevin Stinson, of Mission, BC, Ben Silverman of Concord, ON and Robbie Greenwell of Georgetown, ON, all earned the right to play in this week’s RBC Canadian Open at The Royal Montreal Golf Club during yesterday’s Final Qualifier at Club de golf St-Raphael.
Allred topped the leaderboard by shooting a stellar 6-under par 66. The Web.com Tour member who has a pair of top-25 finishes on the PGA Tour’s development circuit this season carded an eagle, six birdies and two bogeys to earn medalist honours.
The Canadian trio of Stinson, Silverman and Greenwell finished in a three-way tie for second after they all posted 5-under 67s.
After Monday’s Final Qualifier, a total of 19 Canadians are set to compete in the 2014 RBC Canadian Open.
In all, 156 players will shoot for the $5.7 million US purse this week when Canada’s National Open Championship returns to The Royal Montreal Golf Club for the 10th time.
Sixteen countries will be represented at the event. Joining the Canadians will be players from the U.S., Scotland, Argentina, Brazil, India, Ireland, New Zealand, South Korea, Venezuela, South Africa, Fiji, Sweden, Australia, England and Colombia.

Grounds tickets for all days of Canada’s National Open Championship as well as a limited number of premium ticket packages are still available. A full list of ticket packages and pricing, including the new Family Day package, is available online at www.rbccanadianopen.com.
Golf Canada and RBC are offering free admission to children 17 years and younger who are accompanied by a ticketed adult.
