Four More Years

America…..Congratulations! It’s inauguration day,the day when we get to swear in the next President of the United States. Apparently the last four years weren’t painful enough so now we can look forward to four more years of the same.

We can now look forward to four more years of partisan gridlock, four more years of failed leadership, four more years of failed economic policies and four more years of blaming George W. Bush.

Not since the 1930s has a President with this abysmal of an economic record been given a second term. We should take a moment and thank those that are most responsible for this great happening.

Non-Voters

Your continued indifference to the process will always guarantee the status quo. Maybe you are not aware of what a big deal the right to vote is or maybe you just don’t care. Just don’t complain when your gas goes up, the lines in the emergency room are too long, your paycheck gets smaller, your job gets shipped overseas, you can’t find a job, crime is high in your area, or any of the many things that affect your daily life. All these issues are controlled by your local, state and federal government and you get an opportunity every few years to make your voice heard. Yet, you chose to stay silent.

Republicans Who Stayed Home

Maybe Mitt Romney and John McCain were not perfect candidates, but either one of them would have been better than Barack Obama. We’re so sorry that neither one made social issues a major part of their platform, but then again they were running to be President of the United States, not Pope of the United States. Had John McCain been President, we wouldn’t have Obama Care, our deficit wouldn’t be at $16 trillion dollars and the Middle East wouldn’t be the huge cluster that it is now. Shouting at the wind and making a scene is great for television, but if you don’t back it up at the voting booth it means nothing. Now instead of having a President that you disagree with 10-20 percent of the time, you are now stuck with one that you disagree with 100 percent of the time. Good job.

Swing Voters

Those voters who shift their allegiance the way many of us change our socks. This group of voters who are always swayed not by the truth, but which candidate has the best glitzy ads and is the most photogenic. Politics is suppose to be about issues but you folks will always guarantee that it will be about who slings the best mud and who best tells you what you want to hear. Truth and facts can’t hold a candle to your desire to having someone tell you what to be afraid of and who is to blame for your bad lot in life. It’s time to stop calling you swing voters and to start calling you the American Idol voter.

The Democratic Party

Thanks to the race hustlers that make up your party, America will never be able to heal itself. No criticism of the President or any policy can be done without you playing the race card. That goes for Immigration, Federal Housing, Medicaid, Food Stamps, and poverty. Just to name a few. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Republicans tried to reform this ten years ago yet you chose to make the false accusation that Bush was just trying to be hard on African Americans. When America has representatives who care more about making a scene than getting things done, this is the result. By the way, for all your shouting about race and gender, George W. Bush still had a more diverse cabinet.

So pop a cork America and let’s celebrate another four more years of failure. You’ve certainly earned it.
